Katrina Clark-Sanders – 1990
At Withrow, Katrina distinguished herself as a three-sport athlete, participating in basketball, track, and cross-country. Her passion for sports and her unrelenting work ethic earned her varsity letters in all three disciplines, a rare feat that showcased her exceptional athletic abilities. In the world of basketball, Katrina's leadership and defensive prowess were instrumental in guiding Withrow's team to a district championship during her senior year. Her multiple recognitions as the Most Valuable Defensive Player underscored her remarkable talent and tenacity on the court. Katrina's excellence extended to the track, where her senior year was marked by a remarkable achievement. She blazed through the open 400 meters in an astonishing 58 seconds, a feat that earned her the coveted Outstanding Sprinter's Award. Her exceptional talents did not go unnoticed, as she secured basketball scholarships to two prestigious institutions, the University of Sullivan and the University of Cincinnati. While at the University of Sullivan, Katrina continued to shine. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to the game saw her join the exclusive "500 Rebound Club," an acknowledgment of her outstanding efforts in rebounding. Today, Katrina Clark-Sanders resides in Cincinnati and has dedicated 18 years of her life to Sands Montessori, where she serves as a paraprofessional. In 2020, Katrina received one of the highest honors in the world of Cincinnati Public Schools, as she was inducted into the CPS Hall of Fame.
