2021-2022 Withrow Athletic Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony

On January 21, 2022, an induction ceremony for the 2021 and 2022 classes of the Withrow Athletic Hall of Fame took place in the Withrow gym. Last year’s 2021 induction ceremony was cancelled due to Covid. To view the members of the Withrow Athletic Hall of Fame, click HERE. Note that  biographies of members can be viewed by clicking on their names.

Photos of the induction ceremony may be viewed by clicking HERE. The basketball game for that night was cancelled due to Covid problems on the opposing team.

Greetings From The Principal’s Desk: Withrow 2020-2021

I hope this letter finds all Withrow High School Alumni and your families doing well. What a year! Our 2020-2021 academic year was very eventful, to say the least. The global COVID-19 pandemic caused us all to truly pause and be thankful for life and our families – there was definitely no playbook for this nor how to educate students during such a crisis.

Withrow’s 2021 Football Season Huge Success On and Off The Field

After a 2020 pandemic-shortened 1-6 season, the Tigers have a new attitude. This year they had a 9-1 winning season and were in the postseason playoffs for the first time since 2013, when they lost a playoff game. They finished this season ranked 8th in Ohio and played 9th ranked Troy in a first playoff game. Troy scored the first touchdown, but the Tigers then scored 29 points for Withrow’s first playoff win in 102 years. Senior running back Ty’Aris Stevenson ran for 256 yards and a touchdown, while senior quarterback Antwonex Fant ran for 78 and a score and threw a touchdown to fellow senior Donsha Knox. Consistent with its season of four shutouts, the defense remained strong. The Tigers then played the No. 1 seed Piqua the following week but lost a close game 17-13 and finished the season 9-2.

We are raffling off a professionally framed Joe Borrow jersey, which will be a treasure to any Bengals fan or avid sports memorabilia collector. The $20 raffle tickets may be purchased by clicking HERE. There’s no limit on the number of tickets purchased. The raffle will close on Friday, Oct 29 at 5pm EST.  The winner will be drawn during halftime of the football game that evening, which will be the first playoff game with the time and place to be announced.  You do not need to be present to win.  We will ship to the contiguous United States.

Withrow Tiger Classic Successful Again

On a perfect June afternoon, dozens of golfers, alumni and friends of Withrow, took to the Grizzly course at the Mason Golf Center to have fun and raise money for the Withrow Tiger football team. After registration and a Skyline lunch, the tournament began with a shotgun start. The day ended with a dinner and program hosted by Solomon Wilcox and Coach Kali Jones. As a special treat Coach Jones’s father Rok Jones brought together his band from 20 years ago to play before and after dinner. Coach Jones summed up the day as follows:

The mission or focus of the Withrow High School Alumni Association is to be a supportive partner to current and former students, teachers and staff at Withrow High School and to promote a healthy learning environment that helps prepare students to become successful, productive and contributing members of society.

In pursuit of its mission, the Withrow High School Alumni Association will have a diverse, inclusive, enthusiastic and committed Board of Trustees and general membership that is appropriately structured and financially viable to offer members the opportunity to assist Withrow High School while providing the benefits of participation and affiliation in our organization.
