Dick Bray participated in the following sports:
Dick Bray, 1922: Scored the first touchdown in the school’s history in 1919. He was selected the Cincinnati Post’s All-City quarterback in 1919 and 1920, and led the Tigers to a league championship in 1920 with a 5-0-1 record. He was also a three-year basketball player, who scored the first basket in school’s history in 1920, and a three-year starting second baseman on the baseball team. Dick continued his athletic successes at Xavier University, lettering in three sports and being selected to Xavier’s Basketball Hall of Fame. He was selected to the LaRosa’s Hall of Fame in 1978. Recognized as a top-flight football and basketball official and later a well-known sports broadcaster, Dick was inducted into the Cincinnati Public Schools Hall of Fame in 2016.
