Christopher Hicks

Do you remember Christopher Hicks? Christopher Hicks graduated in 1972 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020.

Football

Christopher Hicks, 1972 – Christopher was captain of the football team his senior year. That year Withrow was the PHSL football champion. Chris played both ways as an offensive and defensive tackle. 

He received a full scholarship to Indiana State University where he was selected as a first team Kodak All-American and American Football Coaches Association first team. He was named to the Associated Press Honorable mention All-American team. He was one of the best offensive lineman in Indiana State history, starting as the offensive tackle for three straight seasons He also played guard. He was co-captain his senior year. In 2008 he was inducted into the Indiana State University Athletic Hall of Fame. He was listed in a Sporting News article as one of pro football’s draft prospects during his senior year at ISU.
