That is just what is going to happen on June 17th for the 2nd Annual Tiger Classic Golf Tournament benefiting the Withrow High School football program! Last year was such a success despite being held during a global pandemic, and we are super excited about how this year will be even better! Allow me to catch you up on what’s been going on with the team this past year. Even though this past Fall was a far cry from what a “normal” season has ever looked, I can still give you details of the wonderful things happening with this football program. Attendance for summer and fall practices was at almost 96% daily despite the many challenges our athletes had; athletic academic help was given through a newly created program by the football coach, Save-A-Tiger (SAT), to help with the universal drop in grades due to not having school in-person; feeding athletes became a much bigger necessity and we were able to make hundreds of meals since last Fall; more college coaches were interested in and visited our players; an old storage room was converted into a new football meeting area; and moral and dedication by the entire program never dropped despite roadblocks at every turn. These were truly monumental wins in this pandemic year, and this is where last year’s outing monies went. Because the Cincinnati Public School District cut ALL funding for ALL athletics this year (yes, you read that correctly), each sport was responsible to raise their own funds. That is why we are asking you to join us to raise critically needed funds!
The monies raised will be going to 5 key areas:
1) Badly needed equipment,
2) Nutritional needs for team,
3) Expenses incurred for skills camps, and college and prep school football program visits
4) Educational expenses like Study Table supplies, ACT help, and scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors,
5) Misc. expenses like senior night, transportation, etc.

Raffle basket / Silent Auction / Prizes
We are securing hearty baskets with mass appeal in the hopes of generating significant money. We will only be doing 10-15 baskets, and each basket will have a retail value of a minimum of $150. If you have something you could donate, we’d love to hear from you on that too! We are also looking for someone to underwrite (4) prizes for each of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, and (3) prizes for Longest Drive.
